Speaker session: Interim employment: a career or stopgap?

Presenter Clive Bennett, Client Services Director, from London based Brooklands Executives ( http://www.brooklandsexecutives.com/executive-team.php ). With an active portfolio of over 5,000 interim professionals they are one of the UK’s most successful executive recruitment consultancies. Clive and has a wealth of experience of interim management gained on both client and recruitment consultancy sides, he is manager of Brooklands public sector practice.

Stephan Suchy, a senior public sector HR professional, will attend for the last 30-45 minutes to answer questions about his experiences of interim employment over the past 10 years before recently securing a permanent role.

Sadie Reynolds of Calibre Solutions. Sadie specialises in Career Counselling, coaching and mentoring. Leadership and management learning and development, mediation, conflict handling/resolving issues. She is a volunteer for the Institute of Consultants and the Chartered Management Institute for outplacement activities for those people whose jobs have become redundant.

Mike Ricketts is Managing Director at The Marketing Toolbox Ltd and Managing Partner at Dream Plan Achieve. He has worked for over 30 years in start-up and mature businesses running sales teams, marketing teams as well as projects and programmes which were regarded as strategically important by the management boards of the companies concerned, Mike is also an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and runs a Mentoring Service for members of this institute.

Speaker Session: “Overcoming Redundancy and The Great Mid-Life Career Switch”

Gordon Adams Managing Director at Alternative Futures Research Ltd. Gordon is the author of two books Overcoming Redundancy and The Great Mid-Life Career Switch. He provides outplacement support to downsizing organisations (The Overcoming Redundancy Programme) and help to new business start-ups (Business Genesis Programme). He has kindly offered to provide free copies of his book to MKEA members attending.

Sadie Reynolds of Calibre Solutions will lead this full day event. Sadie is a provider of interview training to recruiters and will require copies of your CV and a job for which you have applied in advance of the meeting. Depending upon the interest from members this may require video review on another date.
